Individualized Supports Waiver (ISW) covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in Alaska. The program serves I/DD adults with lower support needs.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your case manager or support coordinator. They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
Individualized Supports Waiver (ISW) does not fund residential placements. In Alaska, residential care can be funded through Alaskans Living Independently (ALI) 1915(c), Adults with Physical and Developmental Disabilities (APDD) 1915(c), Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) 1915(c), and others — talk to your case manager or support coordinator about switching or adding a program.
