IFS Waiver (Individual and Family Support) covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in District of Columbia. The program serves adults with I/DD living with family or independently.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your case manager or support coordinator. They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
IFS Waiver (Individual and Family Support) does not fund residential placements. In District of Columbia, residential care can be funded through EPD Waiver (Elderly and Persons with Physical Disabilities), IDD Waiver (Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) — talk to your case manager or support coordinator about switching or adding a program.
