Section 19 — Home and Community Benefits for the Elderly and Adults with Disabilities covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in Maine. The program serves elderly and adults with physical disabilities at NF level of care.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your case manager or support coordinator. They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
Section 19 — Home and Community Benefits for the Elderly and Adults with Disabilities does not fund residential placements. In Maine, residential care can be funded through Section 21 — Comprehensive waiver (ID/Autism), Section 18 — Brain Injury waiver, Section 20 — Other Related Conditions waiver, and others — talk to your case manager or support coordinator about switching or adding a program.
