Frail Elder Waiver (FEW) covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in Massachusetts. The program serves elders 60+ (and some younger) at NF level of care.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your case manager or support coordinator. They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
Frail Elder Waiver (FEW) does not fund residential placements. In Massachusetts, residential care can be funded through DDS Adult Supports / Community Living / Intensive Supports waivers (0828/0826/0827), ABI-RH and ABI-N (Acquired Brain Injury waivers), MFP-RS and MFP-CL (Moving Forward Plan waivers), and others — talk to your case manager or support coordinator about switching or adding a program.
