CAP/DA (Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults, 1915(c)) covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in North Carolina. The program serves adults 18+ meeting NF level of care.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your case manager or support coordinator. They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
CAP/DA (Community Alternatives Program for Disabled Adults, 1915(c)) does not fund residential placements. In North Carolina, residential care can be funded through NC Innovations Waiver (1915(c)), State/County Special Assistance (SA) + Medicaid State Plan PCS, TBI Waiver (1915(c) pilot), and others — talk to your case manager or support coordinator about switching or adding a program.
