Community Choices Waiver covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in South Carolina. The program serves 65+ / physically disabled at NF level of care.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your case manager or support coordinator. They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
Community Choices Waiver does not fund residential placements. In South Carolina, residential care can be funded through Optional State Supplementation (OSS) program, Intellectual Disability / Related Disabilities (ID/RD) Waiver, Head and Spinal Cord Injury (HASCI) Waiver — talk to your case manager or support coordinator about switching or adding a program.
