Specialized Recovery Services (1915(i)) covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in Ohio. The program serves adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your service and support administrator (SSA), typically via your county board of developmental disabilities. They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
Specialized Recovery Services (1915(i)) does not fund residential placements. In Ohio, residential care can be funded through Assisted Living Waiver (ODA), MyCare Ohio / Next Generation MyCare, DODD waivers: Individual Options (IO), Level One, SELF — talk to your service and support administrator (SSA) about switching or adding a program.
