Texas Home Living (TxHmL) covers in-home and community services only — it does not pay for residential placement in Texas. The program serves IDD.
Enrollment and service authorization go through your service coordinator, typically via your Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA). They confirm eligibility, authorize the budget, and help select a provider.
Texas Home Living (TxHmL) does not fund residential placements. In Texas, residential care can be funded through STAR+PLUS / STAR+PLUS HCBS program (1115 managed care), Home and Community-based Services (HCS), Deaf-Blind with Multiple Disabilities (DBMD) — talk to your service coordinator about switching or adding a program.
